Microsoft Teams isn’t just where we share memes and debate if that meeting could’ve been an email — it’s also become a new target for hackers. On October 23, 2025, researcher Brahim El Fikhi showed how attackers can steal hidden “login tokens” from the Teams desktop app on Windows. Those little bits of data act like digital keys — if someone steals yours, they can pretend to be you, read your chats, send messages, or grab your files from SharePoint or Outlook. Here’s what that actually means, why it matters, and what you can do about it. What’s Going On (in plain English) Where the danger is: Teams keeps your sign-in info in a local file on your computer. Windows 10 may be heading toward retirement, but not everyone is ready to part ways just yet. Official support for Microsoft’s most widely-loved operating system ends on October 14, 2025—a date many users already have circled in red on their calendars. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to say goodbye immediately. Microsoft is offering an Extended Security Updates (ESU) program that lets you keep Windows 10 alive until October 2026. Even better, you may be able to get the first year of updates free—as long as you take action before the deadline. How the Extension Works Once Windows 10 support ends, your PC won’t receive security updates, leaving it vulnerable to malware and exploits. The ESU program fills that gap. (...)
In May 2025, Skype will be retired. This change will impact both free and paid Skype users, but not Skype for Business.
Skype users will have the option to move to Microsoft Teams
Free, which offers many of the same core features and more. By logging
in to Teams Free with your Skype account, your chats and contacts will
appear in the app so you can pick up where you left off. This capability
will gradually roll out over the coming days, beginning with those who
are both Skype and Teams Insiders on the latest app versions.
If you don't want to use Microsoft Teams Free, you can export your Skype data. (...)

In an age where digital threats and privacy concerns are paramount, the need for reliable and secure internet tools has never been greater. One such tool that has garnered attention for its robust security features and commitment to user privacy is Quad9 DNS. What is Quad9 DNS? Quad9 is a free, recursive, and anycast DNS (Domain Name System) service that leverages threat intelligence from various security agencies to offer enhanced protection against malicious domains. Launched by the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) in collaboration with IBM and Packet Clearing House (PCH) in 2017, Quad9 aims to add a pivotal layer of security to the internet browsing experience. How Quad9 Works At its core, Quad9 functions like any other DNS service by translating human-readable domain names (like www.example.com) into IP addresses that computers use to identify each other on the network. In the digital age, where privacy is paramount and cybersecurity threats lurk around every virtual corner, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) have emerged as a crucial tool for safeguarding online activities. However, as with any technology, VPNs are not impervious to vulnerabilities. One such vulnerability that has recently surfaced is the exploit known as TunnelVision, sending ripples of concern throughout the cybersecurity community. TunnelVision represents a significant threat to the integrity and security of VPN connections, posing risks to both individual users and organizations that rely on VPNs for secure communication and data transmission. Understanding the nature of this exploit and its potential implications is essential for anyone concerned about safeguarding their online privacy and security. What is TunnelVision? TunnelVision exploits a fundamental flaw in the way VPN protocols establish and maintain secure connections. (...)
It seems the latest update for Firefox (v125.0.3 at the time of this writing), breaks recaptcha. You will see a js error in the console. It appears it only affects latest firefox version on windows. Mobile does not seem to be affected. A temp fix for this issue is changing your user-agent in firefox. This can be accomplished by using a user-agent changer addon. I would think this is a major issue and would be addressed rather quickly but still waiting on more information. Updates to follow.
