I watched the 2008 VP debate the other nite between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. I must say I was a bit impressed with Palin. Before McCain picked her as a running mate I thought he didn’t have a chance in hell against Obama. And to be honest I was leaning towards Obama over McCain simply because I believed McCain would be be nothing more than 4 more years of the same ole same ole. I don’t have much faith in Obama either, but I do feel he would be a catalyst for change. After watching Biden french kiss Obama’s ass for an hour or so on issues that during previous debates he blasted Obama for, I came away with mixed emotions on both sides. Most of debate was spent with one saying the others facts were incorrect. Afterwards it turns out that Biden was wrong on 13 or 14 things he said.

While i’m still not convinced that McCain is the right answer I am feeling a little better about him because of Palin. While it’s obvious she is not a polished politician, which is a good thing in my opinion, she seems to understand more about the normal everyday American. I just can’t respect the man when a month ago he was against the things Obama did and now he seems to support them.

Overall I think Palin did a better job at making the people believe her. I just wish there were a couple more VP debates as I would like to see a little more.
