Ok let’s attack one of the hottest issues in the good ole USA: The Border
First I have to say I have no issue with any person wanting to come to this country to have a better life or even a different life. I do however have certain expectations for those people. I expect you to come to this country wanting to make it better off for your presence. If your goal is to soak off the government or cause trouble then stay home. We have enough of that without help. Come here legally. Go through the process.
The Process
I don’t like the process either. I think a total reform of the processing of people that wish to come to our country. I want it made easier but well documented. I want each person identified. Basic information that you would find on any american. Everyone goes through the exact same process and it should be streamlined so that it doesn’t take forever just to live here. This could be such a great country if we would all learn from each other.
Border Patrol
The importance of protecting our borders has become a national security issue. I believe it should fall to the military to protect it. The army, navy, and especially the marines are not made to protect our borders. I believe it should fall on the Coast Guard. A division of the Coast Guard or Border Guard if you will, should be added onto our military. By pulling some of our troops out of other areas in the world where they are no longer needed, you could redirect the funds to support the Border Guard.
Employers
U.S. companies that knowingly hire illegal immigrants will face huge fines. Redo and educate government agencies that are in charge of processing new hires and helping companies to ensure they are hiring properly documented people.
Illegal Immigrants
If you are caught in this country illegally, you should be rounded up and deported to the closest border. As the countries on our border seem to have no problems with illegals then they shouldn’t mind them on their doorsteps. But with the new Border Guard, the reformulated immigration process, and the new rules and regulations on the hiring process of employers, the amount of illegals should be almost non existant.
The bottom line is that people who enter this country illegally have committed a crime. There are politicians that say we should give illegals a driver license. Are you kidding me. An elected official that speaks for the people suggesting we give a legal document to a known criminal. This should outrage you. Do we get to pick and choose which laws should be abided by and which ones shouldn’t? Either change the law to make it ok to come in this country without going through the process or do the job you were elected to do.
