I’m so tired of surfing the net and finding sites with support firefox all of it and the site doesn’t work properly in firefox.. I mean wtf. How can you convince people they should switch to firefox when you can’t even bother to make your site render properly in the very browser you soooooooo love.

Why is it that I lose interest in everything I used to enjoy. Don’t get me wrong I still enjoy design but I only have the patience for short bursts of coding. If it’s not something I can do in under an hour, it usually doesn’t get done now. I guess lack of time has alot to do with it. My free time is so limited, and I have so much to do, that online stuff takes a back seat. Or moreso left running behind the car trying to keep up. I still manage to work on something online everyday. Most of it never gets seen by the public in general. I have tons of projects I’ve started and never finished because I have either lost interested or realized that it wasn’t what I had thought it would be. I started a new msn script saturday. Lost interest in it after about an hour. Ended up working on tg. Did a couple of forum themes. Tonite I did a techdesigns007 theme for release. It turned out ok, although I didn’t spend a whole lot of time on it. Tried to do something dark as my tastes lean toward light themes. I often wonder if the time is nearing for me to step away from tg007. I have no set plans in doing so but I do wonder from time to time. I know the demand for msn stuff has greatly deminished from the old days, yet we still get alot of users coming for msn stuff. I still host a room on msn but only for someone else and rarely even look in the room. Scripting really bores me now. It’s not that I know everything about it but rather what I don’t know I could probably pick up quickly. I just don’t care about it. I guess if i had more time to actually spend I might be more interested in the whole thing. Anyway I’m bored of writing now…
Too often I have to ( yes i have to ) badmouth my local wal-mart. They never have anything any normal person could need like say a 3/4 in. T-connector for pvc pipe or combo earphone/mic headset. But today takes the cake. Go to wal-mart. Now this isn’t just asking some stray wal-mart employee. I’m talking about asking the “insert cussword here” person in electronics. The person they deemed had the necessary brain power to work the phones/tv’s/ and music selection. Here is the question.

GOD save me from this hickville wal-mart’s “electronic” department. I’m not sure but I think they maybe getting some of those microwave ovens that cook food with no fire. That would be a coup.
The day started out ok. I actually got more than 3 hours of sleep before I went to work. ( that’s a rarity for me ). Work was an ok day. Spent most of it on the road. The boss’s wife locked herself out of her car (again heh), so I spent awhile going to pick up up and take her back to her car. Anyways, I get a call that one of my water pipes has broken. It was a rainy day here so i got covered in mud dealing with it. Not to mention it was freaking cold for the first day in a week. Go figure. Lucky for me I had some good help to fix it so I guess it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. But coming home from a long day of work to that didn’t put me in the best of moods. I think i might have let a few dozen cuss words slip. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
The new year is now here. I’m a wee bit older ( though i guess I still feel pretty young ). TechGear007 is still going pretty well. I really wish I had more time to work on it. I’m really proud of Ozzy in his work on TGHelp.net. He has learned alot about php in a very short time. I had little doubt that he would as it’s so much akin to mirc scripting. He works really hard on most everything he tries. I know there are alot that think he is a bit of a hardass. I wish sometimes people knew he like I do. You couldn’t ask for a better friend. Before I get all mushy I would just like to express my thanks to him for all the work he has done on techgear but moreso i want to thank him for his friendship.
As for what’s going on in my world. Work mostly. What little time I get off work I try to spend with my kids. After that I squeeze as much time in for tg007 as possible. There hasn’t been a day that has gone since TechGear started, that I haven’t done something to it or for it. Alot of it is behind the scenes. Tiny things that 99% of the users will never notice. I start working on the site and the next thing I know 6 hours has gone by and my stomach is grumbling and my bladder is busting. I guess I can get a bit “involved” ( sounds better than “obsessed” heh ) in what I do.
I’ve been though and seen alot in my years doing techgear. I’ve made a few friends, a few enemies ( dunno how i managed to have enemies on the net lol ). I’ve made a few err0r’s that i’ve regretted and some i haven’t. I miss the old days of MSN. Not quite the beginning but more of the “almost end of free chat”. Those were some fun times. I lost interest in scripting shortly after MSN went to pay. I still script from time to time, but it’s just not the same. I rarely chat anymore and when I do it’s usually to someone that doesn’t want to talk to me, they just want something from me. Not that I mind helping people. I actually really enjoy it. More than most think. Just tend to miss some of the fun of chat of old. Now I don’t have time to go in a room, take time for ppl to get to know my comments are merely sarcastic and not rude before i get booted. It’s alot of work establishing yourself in a new room.
Well i’m starting to just ramble my thoughts so I’ll just end this with I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT 2006
